Balochistan Launches Thresher Fuel Subsidy

Quetta: The Balochistan government has officially started implementing the Thresher Fuel Subsidy Scheme for wheat farmers across the province.

Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti announced that in the first phase, subsidy has been transferred to the accounts of 3,102 farmers. He added that another 13,128 farmers will receive their payments within the next two to three days.

So far, more than 85,000 farmers have been registered, while over 74,000 have been successfully verified.

CM Bugti said that small farmers and landowners are being given priority under this scheme.

The fuel subsidy will significantly reduce thresher operation costs, thereby easing the financial burden on farmers.

All eligible small farmers will be provided subsidy in phases.

He emphasized that the Balochistan government stands firmly with the farming community during these difficult economic conditions and will continue taking effective measures to protect agricultural production.
