US–Iran Agree to Continue Talks

ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Hamid Mir has revealed that the United States and Iran have agreed to continue their negotiations and hold another meeting.

Speaking on Geo News programs, he said the time and venue for the next round will be decided later.

After lengthy discussions, both sides acknowledged that while progress had been made on some issues, others require further consultation with their respective leadership.

US Vice President JD Vance stated that another meeting could take place after discussions with former President Donald Trump.

According to Hamid Mir, a two-week ceasefire has been agreed upon, with indirect contacts to continue for a possible extension.

Pakistan, along with China and Turkey, is playing a key role in facilitating these efforts.

Meanwhile, senior anchor Shehzad Iqbal also confirmed that talks between the US and Iran have not ended, and diplomatic efforts are ongoing with Pakistan’s mediation.

He noted that both sides had come close to agreement on several points but differences on a few issues prevented a final deal.

No official statement from either country suggests that negotiations have been called off, raising hopes for a lasting peace through continued dialogue.
