ANF Seizes 24 kg Drugs in Pishin

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested eight suspects and seized more than 74 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs17 million in five operations conducted across the country, an ANF spokesman said on Friday.

He said the operations were carried out in multiple cities as part of an ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking networks.

In Balochistan’s Pishin district, authorities recovered 24 kg of hashish from a vehicle in Yaro and arrested one suspect. In a separate operation at the same location, another 18 kg of hashish was seized from a vehicle and a suspect taken into custody.
In Islamabad, ANF officials intercepted two motorcyclists near Model Town, recovering 16.3 kg of hashish along with a 30 bore pistol. Both suspects were arrested. In another operation near Mandi Mor, authorities seized 4.8 kg of hashish and 1.2 kg of methamphetamine (ice) from a vehicle and apprehended the accused.

Separately, in an inter-provincial operation near the Kala Shah Kaku toll plaza, three suspects riding a motorcycle were arrested with 10 kg of heroin.

The spokesman said cases had been registered against all suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations were underway.
