Global oil prices rose sharply after US President Donald Trump signaled that military operations against Iran would continue.

Brent crude, the international benchmark, climbed nearly 4% to $105.55 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose about 3% to trade around $103 per barrel.

Analysts said fears of potential military escalation in the region and possible supply disruptions drove investor caution. The uncertainty directly impacted global energy markets.

In an address to the American public, Trump said the United States would continue its campaign against Iran. He also signaled tougher measures in the coming weeks, adding to market volatility.
