Pakistan-China Naval exercise Sea Guardian-4 concludes

KARACHI: The joint Pakistan-China naval exercise Sea Guardian-4 successfully concluded in Karachi.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) , the exercise, conducted between the Pakistan Navy and the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy), was held from 25 March to 1 April 2026. The aim of the drill was to enhance mutual cooperation and maritime collaboration between the two navies.

The exercise consisted of two phases: a five-day port visit in Karachi and a two-day sea phase in the North Arabian Sea.

Upon the arrival of the Chinese warship Dachang, the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Timur extended a warm welcome.

Various bilateral activities were held, including ship visits, professional discussions on maritime challenges, tours of naval facilities, the first Young Officers Seminar, and preparations for the sea phase.

During the sea phase, both navies participated in air defence drills, multi-threat response exercises, submarine operations with the Pakistan Navy, conventional warfare manoeuvres, and live gunnery firing.

After the successful completion of Exercise Sea Guardian-4, the two navies also conducted a joint patrol in the Arabian Sea, demonstrating their shared commitment to maritime security and stability in the region.
