India-Afghanistan’s Secret Disinfo Campaign Targeting Pakistan Exposed

ISLAMABAD: A coordinated disinformation campaign against Pakistan, linked to operators in India and Afghanistan, has been exposed. The campaign exploited fake Iranian identities to create and spread a narrative accusing Pakistan of betraying Iran.

According to a leaked document, the campaign began with accounts posing as Iranian media outlets, including INN Iran National News (@INNewx) and Iran TV (@Irania_TV). These “initiator” accounts generated content designed to appear authentic and local, while the network remained under external control.

The false narrative claimed Pakistan secretly facilitated oil shipments for the United States, prompting an artificial Iranian reaction. Afghan-based accounts then acted as “proliferators” and “amplifiers,” expanding the narrative. Influential accounts such as W.A. Mubariz (115,000 followers) and Burhan Uddin (86,000 followers) tied the story to allegations of economic betrayal and religious sensitivities
