Foreign stars arrive as PSL 11 begins in two days

ISLAMABAD: With just two days to go for the start of Pakistan’s biggest cricket festival, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), foreign stars continue to arrive in the country.

Australian batting maestro Steve Smith and South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamsi have reached Lahore.

Islamabad United’s Mark Chapman and Devon Conway have also joined their team.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Kusal Perera and several foreign coaches of different franchises have also arrived in Pakistan.

The PSL has also announced its commentary panel and match officials. Australian Richie Richardson will make his PSL debut as a match referee.

The umpiring panel includes Ahsan Raza, Chris Gaffaney, and Alex Wharf.

The star-studded commentary team features Ramiz Raja, Wasim Akram, Dominic Cork, and Carlos Brathwaite.

The 11th edition of the PSL will begin on March 26 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Lahore and Karachi will each host 22 matches.
