Atta Tarar : Pitches Pakistan as mediator to improve Iran situation

ISLAMABAD :  Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar has announced that Pakistan is ready to play a mediating role to help de-escalate the growing tensions in the Middle East.

 

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Tarar stated that Pakistan seeks to play a serious role in improving the situation involving Iran and preventing further instability in the region.

 

“Pakistan wants to play a serious role in improving the situation in Iran and preventing further instability,” the minister said.

 

He highlighted Pakistan’s longstanding relationships with countries across the region as a key asset that enables it to engage with various parties. Tarar noted that Islamabad is already in contact with different stakeholders and is striving to maintain a balance.

 

“Pakistan has long-standing relations with the countries of the region, due to which it is in contact with different parties and is trying to maintain a balance,” he explained.

 

The Federal Minister emphasized that Pakistan is engaged in ongoing talks with multiple partners and consistently seeks to preserve equilibrium in its foreign relations. He expressed confidence in the country’s ability to act as a bridge between nations.

 

“Pakistan is engaged in talks with different partners and we always want to maintain a balance in relations. I think we can play a mediating role between the countries of the region,” Tarar added.
