ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that these allegations are coming from those who have been involved in attacks on mosques, targeting worshippers in prayer, and carrying out violence against unarmed civilians, markets, and schools.
Innocent children have also been victims of such brutality.
He added that their sources of income are often linked to activities such as drug trafficking, while they continue to act against the very state that provided them shelter for decades.
He further said that It is further argued that despite receiving refuge for nearly fifty years, such groups have failed to honor their commitments and instead demanded financial concessions to fulfill agreements. Pakistan, which even confronted a superpower in the past and hosted them for generations, now faces hostility from the same elements.
While acknowledging past mistakes over the country’s 78-year history, this perspective views extending such hospitality as one of the most significant errors.
