KARACHI: First Flight from Dubai Lands in Pakistan After Five-Day Disruption Amid Middle East Conflict

The first flight from Dubai arrived in Pakistan on [Day/Date] after five days of suspended operations, bringing much-needed relief to hundreds of stranded passengers.

The private airline’s flight landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport with more than 300 passengers who had been unable to return home since February 28 due to the escalating war situation in the Middle East.

According to aviation sources, the air crisis has severely intensified over the past six days, with over 20,000 flights canceled across eight countries. Pakistan’s connections to the Middle East have been particularly hard hit, with a total of 145 flights canceled during this period.

The breakdown of canceled flights from Pakistan includes 35 from Karachi, 29 from Lahore, 35 from Islamabad, 14 from Peshawar, 12 from Multan, 12 from Sialkot, 6 from Faisalabad, and 2 from Quetta.

Meanwhile, Gulf countries have launched emergency evacuation efforts, operating 167 special flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah airports. Reports indicate that air operations in Saudi Arabia were also affected, with 57 flights canceled and 46 delayed at Riyadh and Dammam airports due to ongoing attacks.

The arrival of the Dubai flight marks a tentative resumption of normal operations, though officials caution that the situation remains volatile.
