ISLAMABAD: The member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sher Afzal Marwat, has urged restraint in the current political climate, stating that the politics of allegations is not appropriate under prevailing circumstances.
In this regard, Marwat made it clear that he has decided not to respond to any further statements made by Aleema Khan.
He said that he considers it an “open field” for her to level any allegations she wishes, but he will refrain from engaging in rebuttals.
The statement has created considerable discussion within political circles, particularly at a time when the party is navigating sensitive legal and political challenges. Marwat emphasized that the relief granted to PTI by the courts should be acknowledged with gratitude, rather than being overshadowed by internal disagreements.
Marwat stressed that the health of PTI founder Imran Khan should not be politicized.
He described the matter as highly sensitive and cautioned against using it for political point-scoring. Such an approach would not serve the interests of the party or the broader political environment.
He further revealed that the government has invited the PTI founder’s family for a meeting, indicating that the matter is being handled with seriousness.
Marwat also referred to Barrister Salman Safdar’s “85 percent” remark, stating that it created unnecessary agitation.
He noted that in the current situation, all stakeholders must demonstrate responsibility to prevent further tension in the political atmosphere.
