ISLAMABAD: Former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique suffers heart attack, undergoes angioplasty and stent placement at PIC; condition now stable
According to details, former Federal Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique suffered a heart attack and was immediately shifted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore, where doctors performed an angioplasty and inserted a stent.
Doctors have confirmed that one stent was placed, and his condition has now improved significantly.
Khawaja Saad Rafique himself stated: “My heart rate became excessively fast. I stayed at PIC for two days.
The angioplasty was performed last night, and I have now been discharged from the hospital.”
