Captain Salman Ali Agha Defends Usman Tariq

COLOMBO: Pakistan T20 captain Salman Ali Agha stated that there is no issue with Usman Tariq’s bowling action; the only thing left now is for Usman Tariq to wear a sign around his neck saying “I am clear.”

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo, Salman Ali Agha said Usman Tariq has already been cleared twice, and he doesn’t understand why there is so much discussion about his action.

He described Usman Tariq as an “X-factor” for the team.

He further emphasized that Babar Azam is very important for Pakistan in these conditions and is continuously working to improve his strike rate.

Salman Ali Agha added that the team does not feel pressure from the initial matches.

“We will try to win every match. If we win all three matches, we won’t need to worry much about the run rate.”

Continuing, the national team captain said: “We will try to give our best in every match.

Our preparation is very good; now we just need to execute the plan.”

He noted: “We have played good cricket over the last six months.

Weather is not in our control, we can’t do anything about it. What is in our hands is performance, and we have to deliver that.”

He said the team will stick with the combination that performs best, adding: “Our entire focus is on the game. We try to avoid talking about things outside of cricket.”

Captain Salman Ali Agha remarked that in press conferences, more questions are asked about matters unrelated to cricket, which he believes is not a good thing.
