Security Forces Kill 24 Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 24 militants belonging to the Indian-backed Fitna Al Khawarij group during multiple operations in in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said a military statement on Friday

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), these operations carried out by security forces on on February 4–5, 2026.

The statement said that intelligence indicated the presence of the militants in Orakzai District. Security forces launched an operation and engaged the group. After a heavy exchange of fire, 14 militants were killed.

Another intelligence-led operation was carried out in Khyber District. Security forces clashed with the militants and neutralized 10 more.

Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining militants in the area.

ISPR said the actions are part of Pakistan’s counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” plan. The campaign, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, aims to remove foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
