former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was killed in Adiala Jail has been firmly rejected by authorities, after the falsehood triggered public alarm and protests.

RAWALPINDI: A list of six individuals proposed to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail has been formally submitted to jail authorities for necessary clearance. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, as per the designated visiting day for the former prime minister.

The list was forwarded by Salman Akram Raja, a senior lawyer associated with PTI. Those named for the proposed visit include Mian Ghaus, Zahir Shah, Rubina Naz, Amjad Ali Shah, Zulfiqar Ali Bhatti, and Waqar Anwar. The submission follows standard jail protocols requiring prior authorization for all visitors to high-profile inmates.

Jail authorities will now conduct standard security and procedural vetting of the listed individuals before granting final approval for the meeting. Such procedures are routine for visits to inmates under strict security protocols, especially in prominent cases.

The scheduled meeting occurs amidst a tightly regulated environment for the PTI founder’s interactions. Since his incarceration, meetings have been restricted to legal counsel and immediate family members on most occasions, with special permissions required for other visitors. This process ensures adherence to prison regulations while facilitating constitutionally guaranteed access.

The development highlights the ongoing legal and administrative procedures governing Imran Khan’s detention. It underscores the formal channels through all such interactions are managed, with jail administration maintaining control over visitor access to ensure security and order within the facility
