Balochistan Agriculture Minister Ali Hassan Zahri Resigns

QUETTA: Balochistan’s Minister for Agriculture, Ali Hassan Zahri, has resigned from the provincial cabinet, citing an inability to devote sufficient time to his portfolio.

Zahri, who belongs to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

Explaining his decision, Zahri said persistent time constraints prevented him from giving due attention to agricultural affairs. He acknowledged that he failed to fulfill the commitments he made to the people of Balochistan.

“I could not deliver on the promises I made to the public, which is why I have decided to step down,” Zahri said.
