Forces have killed 172 militants in balochistan so far

Quetta/Rawalpindi:  In the latest developments from Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province, security forces have continued intense clearance and counter-terrorism operations, eliminating additional militants in targeted areas including Naushki (Noshki), Hoshab, and Turbat.

According to emerging field reports and local security updates circulating today:

  • 7 militants killed in fresh engagements in Naushki district.
  • 6 militants eliminated in Hoshab area.
  • 1 militant neutralized in Turbat.

Bodies of the killed militants are being recovered as operations progress, with forces maintaining control and conducting thorough sweeps to flush out remaining elements.

These latest casualties add to the 13 militants earlier reported killed in Naushki amid the same wave of operations. Circulating tallies from security-aligned sources now reflect a cumulative body count of approximately 172 militants eliminated across recent clashes and follow-up actions (prior broader toll of 145 + 13 earlier in Naushki + 14 from the most recent incidents in Naushki/Hoshab/Turbat).

The operations form part of a larger, sustained response to coordinated attacks launched by separatist groups, including the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) under what they term “Operation Herof Phase II.” Official Pakistani military and provincial authorities have consistently reported high militant casualties in repelling these assaults, with earlier statements indicating over 90 militants killed on January 31 alone and totals exceeding 130-145 in the past 48-72 hours.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and military spokespersons have emphasized that forces are conducting precise, intelligence-led actions to dismantle terrorist networks, including those allegedly linked to foreign proxies, while prioritizing civilian safety and minimizing collateral damage. Reinforcements remain deployed, and clearance efforts continue in affected districts.
