Saudi Arabia, Qatar condemn Balochistan terror attacks

Saudi Arabia, Qatar Voice Strong Support for Pakistan After Balochistan Attacks

RIYADH/DOHA : The Gulf nations of Saudi Arabia and Qatar have issued strong statements condemning the recent wave of terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, expressing solidarity with Islamabad in its fight against militancy.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Kingdom is deeply concerned about the violent acts perpetrated by terrorists in the region. In an official declaration, it affirmed its stand with the government and people of Pakistan. The statement also expressed confidence in the capabilities of the Pakistani security forces, noting they are combating terrorism with the “best strategy.”

Separately, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the terrorist incidents. In its statement, Doha reiterated its “complete rejection of all forms of violence, terrorism, and criminal acts.” The Gulf state extended its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, the Pakistani people, and the government. It also prayed for a swift recovery for those injured in the attacks.

The coordinated diplomatic support from two of the most influential Arab states underscores Pakistan’s significant relationships in the region. The statements from Riyadh and Doha not only condemn the violence but also serve to diplomatically bolster Pakistan’s narrative and counter-terrorism efforts on the international stage. This backing comes at a critical time as Pakistani security forces conclude major operations in Balochistan, which authorities have claimed targeted “Indian-sponsored” terrorist networks.

The expressions of solidarity highlight a shared regional concern over the destabilizing impact of terrorism and affirm the continued geopolitical partnership between Pakistan and key Gulf allies.
