GWADAR: The security forces have intensified operations across different areas of Balochistan, resulting in significant developments against militant groups. Since early morning, an ongoing security operation in the Gwadar region has led to the confirmed killing of 67 militants.
The security officials further disclosed that during the past two days, separate engagements in Panjgur and the Shaban area resulted in the deaths of 41 militants. In this case, with these latest figures, the total number of militants neutralized across Balochistan has reached 108.
During these operations, security forces suffered losses. Ten personnel from the police and security forces were martyred while confronting armed militants. Meanwhile, a tragic incident involving civilian casualties has also been reported from Gwadar.
As per the security officials, armed militants targeted families of Baloch laborers, resulting in the killing of 11 civilians. The victims included five men, three women, and three children, all belonging to laboring families from Balochistan who had come to Gwadar in search of livelihood opportunities.
Security sources focused on that attacks on poor laborers highlight deliberate attempts to disrupt peace and development in Balochistan.
