Last ball six another stunning end to BPL match

Dhaka: Another thrilling last-ball six has written a new chapter in the history of the Bangladesh Premier League.

In a nail-biting match against Rangpur Riders, Sylhet Strikers needed six runs off the final delivery and sealed victory by smashing a six.

Rangpur Riders, after choosing to bat first, set a target of 112 runs.

Mahmudullah top-scored for the Riders with 33, while Khushdil Shah contributed 30.

Sylhet’s bowler Khaled Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers, claiming four wickets.

Chasing the modest total, Sylhet Strikers faced considerable trouble.

Apart from Sam Billings’ 29 runs, no other batsman produced a noteworthy performance.

Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz managed only 18 runs.

The situation became so tense that the Strikers required exactly six runs off the very last ball.

Rana Faiyaz Ashraf was bowling the final over for Rangpur Riders, while lower-order batsman Chris Woakes was on strike.

Despite being a tail-ender, Woakes delivered a powerful six off Faheem Ashraf’s last delivery, clinching a dramatic win for Sylhet Strikers.

Failing to defend the final ball, Rana Faheem Ashraf not only disappointed his team and fans but has also sparked questions about his performance, especially with a major event like the World Cup approaching.
