Tourists in Murree Can Now Get Free Vehicle Recovery Assistance

MURREE: The Murree City Traffic Police have launched a free vehicle recovery service to assist tourists and local residents in the hill station. The initiative aims to maintain smooth traffic flow and provide immediate support during emergencies.

The service was introduced under special instructions from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Modern recovery vehicles have been deployed for the program, with active support from Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar and DIG Traffic Punjab Waqas Nazir.

Chief Traffic Officer Murree, Imran Razaq, said the service will help citizens and tourists whose vehicles break down or are involved in traffic accidents in Murree and surrounding areas. Stranded or damaged vehicles will be safely transported to nearby workshops.

He cited a recent incident where a tourist from Lahore faced car trouble on Briya Road. The tourist called the traffic control room, and the traffic police immediately assisted by moving the vehicle safely to a workshop.

The tourist expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and police authorities for the timely help.
