The Hindu acknowledges Pakistan's renewed influence

NEW DELHI: Prominent Indian Daily acknowledges  Pakistan’s diplomatic dominance in West Asia in the ongoing regional strategic and geo-political situation.

A recent opinion piece in The Hindu, one of India’s leading newspapers, titled “Pakistan is back in West Asia’s good graces,” underscores Pakistan’s improving geopolitical standing in the region. Authored by Kabir Taneja and published on December 24, 2025, the article credits Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Army Chief, for playing a pivotal role in this shift.

The piece notes that Pakistan has capitalized on evolving regional dynamics, including shifts in security architecture among Arab powers, to regain favor after a period of strained relations.

It highlights successes such as strengthened ties with Key West Asian nations and mentions broader geopolitical opportunities that have bolstered Islamabad’s position.

This acknowledgment from a major Indian media outlet reflects a notable observation of Pakistan’s enhanced regional influence amid ongoing international developments.

The article, while analytical, emphasizes opportunistic gains rather than long-term structural changes, but its publication signals recognition of Pakistan’s diplomatic momentum in West Asia.

It is worth mettioning that some credible news outlets world-wide have aknowleged in their articles that Pakistan has become a significant figure on the global front particularly after the war against India in May 2025.

United States’ Washigton Times and UK’s Finacial Times have admired Pakistan’s pivotal role in strategic desicion making and moves for anti-terrorism on the global level.

They have also highlighted India’s declining position for all global strategic roles, in particular, in United States’ view. The western countries now believe that India has displayed inconsistency in the warfares and military capabilities in the recent times.
