DHAKA: Following the killing of Bangladeshi student leader Usman Hadi, another young political figure in Bangladesh has come under threat.
Youth leader Hasnat Abdullah is said to have received a warning stating “you are next,” allegedly issued by a former Indian army major, while a former Indian colonel has also reportedly threatened to shoot him in the neck.

Pakistan has on multiple occasions presented what it describes as evidence at international forums accusing India of state-sponsored terrorism.
Reports have also linked Indian nationals to the recent Sydney incident, while in 2020 Australia expelled individuals allegedly connected to Indian intelligence over espionage activities.
Similar allegations have surfaced in Canada and the United States regarding attacks on Sikh leaders, including the killing of Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, which led to months-long diplomatic tensions.
Analysts argue that even Indian citizens, particularly minorities, are not immune from such actions and describe the killing of the Bangladeshi youth leader as an example of what they call an organized global campaign, urging the international community to take serious notice of these allegations.
It is worth mentioning that Usman Hadi, a youg Bangladeshi student leader was assassinated by some masked-shooters on 12th December, causing massive protest across Bangladesh.
