The tragic collision occurred at the Jaloo Geer area when a speeding car lost control and slammed into a dumper truck. The impact of the crash was severe, leaving the car mangled and trapping its occupants. Local authorities were immediately alerted, and rescue teams from the emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, rescue personnel faced a grim scene. They worked swiftly to extricate the victims from the wreckage. According to rescue officials, one individual, whose identity is yet to be formally released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the injured remains a primary concern, and hospital authorities have been directed to provide all necessary care.
The Kuchlak Bypass, a vital artery for traffic, has been the site of several accidents in the past, often attributed to speeding and reckless driving. The latest incident has once again cast a spotlight on the critical need for improved road safety measures. Local residents and community leaders have repeatedly called for stricter enforcement of traffic laws, the installation of speed cameras, and public awareness campaigns to curb such preventable tragedies.
While the wreckage has been cleared from the highway, the emotional and physical scars of the accident remain. A sense of grief has descended upon the families of the victims. Police and relevant authorities have confirmed that a thorough investigation into the precise cause of the crash is currently underway. Officials will examine all factors, including vehicle condition, driver error, and road infrastructure, to determine liability and prevent a recurrence of such a heartbreaking event.
Meanwhile the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Quetta has made significant arrests in a case involving a sophisticated scheme to provide national identity cards to foreigners. In a crackdown that highlights the vulnerability of the country’s citizen registration system, three officials from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) were taken into custody.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Syed Anwar Shah, the Regional Head Officer (RHO) for Quetta; Junior Executive Syed Akhtar Shah; and Khawaja Waqas, who was posted in the Chaman Zone. Their arrests are connected to FIR No. 3/24, a case stemming from the Riyadh Embassy passport scandal.
