KURRAM: An exchange of firing occurred between the security forces and the police in the Kurram area of KP causing deaths of four militants and martyrdom of two police personnel.
According to the security officials, the Fitna al Khawarij launched an attack on the Chanarak Police Check Post in the area of central Kurram area.
An exchange of firing took place when the forces eliminated two Indian-Sponsored Fitna al Khawarij militants.
Two police personnel were martyred during the encounter with the militants.
The security officials have said that automatic weapons, SMGs, hand-grenades, explosives and IEDs were recovered from the militants.
The security officials have further said that the militants were involved in the attacks on the security forces as well as the innocent civilians.
The forces continue the search and clearance operation in the area.
The security forces have vowed that the operations will be carried on until the complete elimination of the militants from the region.
It is worth mentioning that the Indian-sponsored militants of Fitna al Khawarij have launched several militant-attacks in KP and Balochistan in the past many years.
All such terror groups are funded, trained and backed by India and have their havens and hideouts in Afghanistan.
Pakistan has stressed on Afghanistan to ensure that the militant groups do not use the Afghan soil to launch attacks on the Pakistani territory.
However, no serious measures have been taken by the Afghan government against the Indian-sponsored militants so far.
