Panjgur Officials Vow Zero Tolerance For Interference in Education

Balochistan schools may extend summer vacations amid extreme heat forecast

ُPANJGUR: high-level meeting was convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Panjgur to review district affairs, with a strong emphasis on administrative performance and development. Chaired by Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kabir Zarkoon, the meeting brought together key figures including MPA Rehmat Saleh Baloch, SSP Dost Muhammad Bugti, and heads of various government departments.

The primary agenda was a comprehensive review of the performance, ongoing development projects, and overall administrative affairs of Panjgur district. Officials from the education, health, agriculture, and construction sectors presented detailed briefings on their respective departments’ activities and progress.

During the discussions, MPA Rehmat Saleh Baloch underscored the collective responsibility for the district’s welfare. He urged all department officers to execute their duties with utmost honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, stating that Panjgur’s development is a shared mission.

Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kabir Zarkoon issued clear directives, adopting a firm stance on education. He declared a policy of “zero tolerance” for any form of interference or compromise within the district’s education sector. He further instructed all departments to enhance their performance and ensure the timely and quality completion of ongoing projects, including road construction and other development schemes.

SSP Dost Muhammad Bugti provided a briefing on the law and order situation, which received praise from MPA Baloch. He noted a significant improvement in peace and stability since SSP Bugti’s appointment, commending the police force’s performance. The meeting concluded with a unified resolve from all departments to work under a common strategy for the continued development and public welfare of Panjgur district.

Meanwhile Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami JI Balochistan and a member of the provincial assembly, has launched a strong critique against the federal government, citing the severe hardships faced by the people of Balochistan due to essential service failures.

Speaking during meetings with public delegations in Panjgur, Maulana Baloch stated that the ongoing gas and electricity load-shedding during the harsh cold season has exponentially increased public suffering. He demanded that the federal government exempt Balochistan from cold-weather power cuts and provide peaceful employment opportunities for its citizens. He strongly condemned the frequent closure of highways and borders, labeling it an act of “enmity towards the people of Balochistan.”
