National Unity Is Pakistan’s Greatest Strength, Says Field Marshal

ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said Pakistan is a key country, determined to secure its rightful place in the international community.

He highlighted the armed forces’ professional performance and unwavering resolve during critical operations as a reflection of Pakistan’s growing global reputation.

He stressed that national unity is Pakistan’s greatest strength and vowed that, God willing, the nation will thwart all enemy conspiracies together.

The remarks came during a visit by participants of the National Security Workshop 27 (NSW–27) to General Headquarters (GHQ). The delegation received detailed briefings on Pakistan’s regional and domestic security environment and the overall national security situation.

During the visit, participants engaged directly with Field Marshal Munir, who discussed rising geopolitical competition, cross-border terrorism, and hybrid threats in the region. He noted that despite complex challenges, including externally supported terrorism and information-centric warfare, Pakistan’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement maintain full professionalism and dedication in protecting national security.

The Field Marshal emphasised that safeguarding Pakistan’s territorial integrity and protecting every citizen remain top priorities and will not be compromised under any circumstances. He reiterated the importance of cooperation with federal and provincial governments, stating that national unity and institutional coordination are essential for long-term peace, stability, and prosperity.
