BRG’s claim of attack in Sibi proven false, authorities confirm peaceful situation

BRG’s claim of attack in Sibi proven false

SIBI: The reports circulating on social media about an alleged attack on security forces in Sibi have been confirmed as false and baseless. According to official sources, no incident of firing, explosion, or casualties has been reported from the area.

In this regard, the authorities clarified that the claim, attributed to the so-called Baloch Republican Guard (BRG), is fabricated propaganda designed to mislead the public.

The reliable local sources and security officials confirmed that the situation in Sibi remains peaceful and stable, with no evidence of any hostile activity.

So far, the government representatives described BRG’s claim as an attempt by a “weak and fragmented group” to maintain relevance after the apparent collapse of its operational network and the drying up of external funding.

They stated that the group’s pattern of issuing false statements and creating fictitious stories on social media is part of a deliberate effort to spread fear and confusion among citizens.

“The reality is that no attack occurred, and no security installation came under threat,” an official source said, adding that such misleading narratives are intended to “create unrest and divert attention from the group’s internal failures.”

Security agencies have urged the public to rely only on verified information from credible sources and to avoid sharing unconfirmed reports that may contribute to panic or misinformation.

Meanwhile, the official and independent confirmations point to a peaceful situation in Sibi, with no attack or casualties reported. The false claim by BRG highlights its ongoing attempts to stay relevant through digital misinformation rather than real actions.
