New Delhi: Former Indian Army General and defence analyst G.D. Bakshi has once again accused Pakistan of involvement in the recent explosion in New Delhi.
Known for his erratic and aggressive outbursts on television, General Bakshi is often seen launching verbal attacks against Pakistan whenever a security incident occurs in India.
His exaggerated reactions and frequent hostility have made him a controversial figure in Indian media.
Following the Delhi blast, General Bakshi was among the first to rush to the media, claiming that Pakistan was responsible for the incident even before official investigations had begun.
Speaking to Republic TV anchor Arnab Goswami, he alleged that the explosive materials used in the attack could “only have come from Pakistan” and demanded that India take “decisive action” in response. According to him, Pakistan had “signed its own death warrant” by orchestrating the alleged act.
He further accused Pakistan of supporting militant organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, ISIS, and other groups, claiming that the attack involved 350 kilograms of RDX and several suitcases filled with ammonium nitrate and detonators. However, no official verification has been provided for these claims.
It is noteworthy that General Bakshi has, for years, built his media reputation by spreading anti-Pakistan rhetoric and fuelling hostility between the two nations through his frequent television appearances.
It is worth mentioning that a bomb blast occurred in the Indian capital New Delhi on the afternoon of Monday.
According to the report of the Indian media, some 13 people lost their lives.
The blast occurred in a car standing near the Red Fort in Delhi.
The owner of the car is identified with the name of Mohammad Salman and his car was registered in 2104.
The police chief of Delhi had said after the initial investigation that the blast occurred after the CNG cylinder in the car had exploded.
However, General Bakhshi kind of people quickly diverted the story to a militancy-angle.
