QUETTA: A ban has been imposed by the Pakistani government on the Afghan immigrants to buy properties and vehicles.
In the first phase, this ban will be implemented on the unregistered Afghan immigrants which will be carried out after the approval of the federal government.
According to the sources, the data about the properties and the vehicles bought by the Afghan immigrants in Peshawar and other parts of KP has already been compiled.
The ban has been carried out on account of the Afghan nationals not repatriating despite the repetitive deadlines given by the government of Pakistan and they are still settled across various districts and their businesses are also on the run.
This is why the government has vowed to take some strict actions.
The Afghan immigrants who do not repatriate despite the opening of the Pak-Afghan border, will not be able to either sell any property or run businesses.
On the other hand, the repatriation of the Afghan immigrants continues on the Torkham Border.
According to the sources, some 92 empty vehicles of the Pakistani transporters as well as the drivers have also arrived in Pakistan.
According to the sources, the Torkham Border was reopened in order to Facilitate the Afghan nationals who repatriated from many cities on 1st of November.
Some 7000 Afghan nationals crossed the Torkham Border in the meanwhile.
According to the border officials, the border has been reopened for the repatriation of the Afghan nationals.
The bilateral trade and the arrival and departure of pedestrian is in process.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has a clear stance that the Afghan nationals illegally residing in Pakistan should return to their country amid the law-and-order and the security situation in Pakistan.
So far, over 800,000 Afghan nationals have repatriated from different areas of Pakistan including KP and Balochistan.
