PM calls the neglect of Balochistan a wake up call

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has spoken to the participants of the 17th   workshop on Balochistan in Peshawar.

The PM has said that Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan.

The history, culture and traditions of Balochistan make it a distinguished place.

The Prime Minister added that the people of Balochistan have been always generous and hospitable.

He said that Allah SWT has gifted Balochistan with matchless treasures.

Unfortunately, those treasures are still buried underground.

The Prime minister said that the Baloch leaders had made an infliction with Pakistan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Balochistan neglect in the past is a wake-up call and a much-needed matter of self-accountability.

The geographical structure of Balochistan has become a challenge for the development in Balochistan.

Building roads and providing education to the remote areas of Balochistan is a tough task.

A durable development is unattainable without a powerful network of road.

We had eliminated militancy in Balochistan in 2018 but now the terrorism is rising once again.

The PM noted that precious lives are lost in the accidents on the highways from Karachi to Chaman.

We want that ‘killer-road’ to become a road of peace.

The prime minister affirmed that the federal government is investing 350 billion rupees for the Karachi-Chaman two-ways road.

Talking about the peace and the national unity, the prime minister stressed that Punjab made a historical sacrifice in 2010 in the NFC reward.

He said that the development and the prosperity of Pakistan is joined with Balochistan.

The security institutions are sacrificing the lives of the security personnel for the peace in Balochistan.

The people of Balochistan are our brothers, we have to drive them together in the race of development.

At first place, we are all Pakistanis and then we are the residents of other provinces.

We are all like a family and an integrate part of Pakistan. We have to think about the reasons that have caused the militancy in Balochistan.

The development is attainable from Balochistan to Peshawar with the unity, peace and brotherhood.

The peace, unity and brotherhood are the key to development.

The day will come when Pakistan will be called among the great countries.
