PISHIN: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) organised a large-scale political conference in the Barshur area, which was attended by a significant number of supporters and senior party leaders.

The event’s chief guest, Senator Maulana Abdul Wasi, was welcomed by crowds lining the streets of Pishin and Barshur. His convoy, escorted by hundreds of vehicles, received a celebratory welcome with flower petals and slogans.

In his keynote address, Maulana Abdul Wasi positioned the JUI as the true representative of the province’s people. He launched a strong criticism against the current government, accusing it of being “insensitive” to the public’s problems. He claimed that 90% of Balochistan has become insecure and that the government is repeating failed administrative experiments.

He specifically condemned the recent decision to merge the Levies Force with the police, warning it would worsen the province’s situation. The senator also alleged that the public mandate was “robbed” in several constituencies, including that of Maulana Kamaluddin, and that this injustice is harming the entire province.

Maulana Abdul Wasi vowed that his party would never compromise its principles and would continue to defend provincial resources like the Reko Diq and Saindak projects. He called for party workers to unite and strengthen their ranks for a continued “democratic and constitutional struggle .

Wasey urges religious parties to promote national unity. Expressing a firm commitment to national integrity, Senator Wasey said, “There will be no compromise on the defense of Pakistan and the integrity of the beloved homeland.” The party pledged to continue its fight against sectarianism and extremism to make Pakistan a peaceful and developed Islamic state.
