WASHINGTON: Pakistan has stated that India is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the region.
Speaking at a session of the United Nations General Assembly Committee, Pakistan’s representative, Asif Khan, strongly responded to India’s remarks, saying that India is actively supporting banned terrorist organizations such as the TTP, BLA, and the Majeed Brigade.
He added that India’s irresponsible behavior poses a grave threat to regional peace and stability.
Asif Khan further said that Pakistan exercised its legitimate right to self-defense in response to India’s provocative aggression in May and will continue to expose India’s hypocrisy before the international community.
Pakistan has consistently maintained that India has been supporting these militant groups for the past two decades, particularly in the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions.
Indian-backed militant groups such as the BLA, TTP, and Majeed Brigade have been carrying out bomb blasts, suicide attacks, and hand grenade assaults in various areas of Balochistan, targeting not only the armed forces but also innocent civilians.
These groups have been spreading unrest and chaos across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, targeting the armed forces, innocent civilians, and vital development infrastructure.
India has sponsored terrorism that has resulted in the deaths of thousands of security personnel and innocent civilians, fueling provocation and unrest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
