Egypt: At the invitation of the President of Egypt, H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the President of the United States, H.E. Donald Trump, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will travel to Egypt on 13 October 2025 to attend the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.
During the visit, he will participate in the signing ceremony of a peace agreement intended to bring an end to the dire humanitarian and security situation in Gaza.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, along with several senior cabinet members.
The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit marks the culmination of diplomatic efforts launched during the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly held in New York last month.
On 23 September 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, together with leaders from Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Indonesia, and Türkiye, met with President Trump to discuss pathways for achieving peace in Gaza.
In a joint statement following the meeting, these Arab-Islamic nations welcomed the U.S. initiative for peace and reaffirmed their shared commitment to cooperate with Washington to ensure a lasting and comprehensive ceasefire and to address the critical humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Pakistan’s participation in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit underscores its long-standing and unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and its dedication to promoting enduring peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan hopes that the summit will lead to the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, protection of Palestinian civilians, cessation of displacement, release of detainees, and the start of Gaza’s reconstruction.

Islamabad also expects that these efforts will help revive a credible political process toward the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine — with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital — based on the pre-1967 borders, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
