Quetta — A high-level meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, was held to review the ongoing operations and progress related to the dignified repatriation of Afghan refugees.
During the meeting, participants discussed in detail the measures taken so far and formulated a comprehensive action plan for the coming days to ensure that the repatriation process is effective, organized, and in full compliance with legal requirements.
Deputy Commissioner Badini issued new instructions and assigned specific tasks to all Assistant Commissioners (ACs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs), directing that all relevant departments must maintain close coordination and cooperation throughout the repatriation process.
He further emphasized that the district administration would provide all possible facilities to ensure the respectful and smooth return of Afghan refugees.
However, he warned that individuals who fail to cooperate in voluntary repatriation will face legal action and government-led operations.
The meeting was attended by SSP Operations Muhammad Baloch, Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Anwar Kakar, Assistant Commissioners, SPs, and officials from the Frontier Corps (FC).
Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the dignified and orderly repatriation of Afghan refugees residing in the country.
Officials maintain that the repatriation process is being carried out in accordance with national laws and humanitarian principles.
Islamabad has repeatedly stated that while Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghan refugees for decades, the current security and economic challenges require a regulated return to their homeland.

Authorities emphasize that the process aims to be respectful and transparent, and those unwilling to leave voluntarily may face legal action under government policy.
