Khuzdar: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast targeted an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team operating in the 61W/KS Area of Responsibility.

According to initial reports, the explosion took place on October 6, 2025, between Gazan Post and the Noor Gama side area.

Security officials confirmed that one soldier embraced martyrdom, while two others sustained injuries in the incident.

The injured personnel were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Security forces have cordoned off the area, and a search operation is underway to trace the perpetrators involved in planting the explosive device.

In another incident in Buleda, a delayed Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion was reported approximately 4 kilometers south of 146 Wing Headquarters, Niwano, on October 6, 2025.

The incident occurred shortly after Bomb Disposal (BD) teams from 146 Wing and 25 Punjab Regiment had completed their clearance operation and returned to the 146 Wing Base Station.

Fortunately, no loss of life or property was reported in the blast. Security sources confirmed that the area has been secured, and further investigation is underway to determine the source and objective behind the explosive device.

Indian-backed militancy in Balochistan has long been a major security concern for Pakistan.

Intelligence and security agencies have consistently reported that India, through its intelligence agency RAW, has been providing financial and logistical support to separatist groups operating in the province.

These groups are involved in targeted killings, bomb attacks, and sabotage of key infrastructure, including gas pipelines and CPEC-related projects, with the aim of destabilizing the region.

The arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in 2016 further exposed New Delhi’s covert involvement in fueling unrest and supporting militant networks in Balochistan.

Pakistan maintains that India’s interference is part of a broader strategy to undermine the country’s internal security and disrupt economic progress.

Despite these challenges, Pakistan’s security forces continue to conduct effective counterterrorism operations to neutralize foreign-backed militants and restore peace and stability in the strategically important province of Balochistan.
