ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its professional achievements, courage and sacrifices, paying tribute to personnel who laid down their lives in defence of the country.

In his message on the historic occasion of Pakistan Air Force Day, President Asif Ali Zardari appreciated the contributions of PAF personnel and honoured the Shuhada for their ultimate sacrifices.

The president said the Pakistan Air Force had maintained a distinguished record of professionalism and capability over the decades, while continuing to pursue excellence across its various domains.

PAF Built on Quaid’s Vision

President Zardari highlighted the role of the founding leaders in establishing the Pakistan Air Force according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam, who wanted the country to have an air force that would be second to none.

He said the PAF had developed over the years while pursuing excellence and had repeatedly demonstrated its professional prowess and capabilities during aerial conflicts.

According to the president, the force’s history is closely linked with the dedication and sacrifices of its personnel.

The president also highlighted the Pakistan Air Force’s role during Marka-e-Haq, praising its coordination with Pakistan’s other armed services.

In his message on Pakistan Air Force Day, President Zardari said the PAF demonstrated professional capability, tactical expertise and effective planning during the confrontation. He attributed its performance to bold leadership, the skills of combat crews and the coordinated use of multi-domain warfare capabilities.

The president said these modern capabilities were developed through a broader strategy focused on modernisation and indigenisation. He also expressed pride in the PAF’s longstanding tradition of facing numerically superior adversaries.

He said the courage demonstrated by these personnel showed that even a strong and resourceful adversary could not undermine Pakistan’s will and determination.
