Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhelmarks new era of strategic cooperation: Mandokhail

Attack on One is Attack on Both: Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Forge New Security Alliance

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhel has stated that Pakistan’s diplomacy is currently at its strongest point, highlighted by a major new defense agreement with Saudi Arabia.

Governor Mandokhel explained that this agreement is a landmark deal. Its core principle is that an attack on either Pakistan or Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on both nations. The aim is to increase defense cooperation and provide collective security against any threats.

He described the pact as the result of a deep, eight-decade-long partnership based on Islamic brotherhood and solidarity. A key part of this history, he noted, is Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to defending Islam’s holy sites in Mecca and Medina.

The Governor suggested this agreement could become the foundation for a broader alliance, potentially including other Gulf countries. He pointed to recent attacks, including one on Qatar, as evidence that Muslim nations face common threats, which has increased their trust in and reliance on Pakistan.

Mandokhel praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir, crediting their leadership for securing this agreement and greatly enhancing Pakistan’s international stature and recognition among influential Muslim countries.
