QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail stated that the provincial government is providing young people with quality education, modern skill development, and opportunities for overseas employment to reduce unemployment and strengthen the province’s economy.
He noted that under the BTEVTA (Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority) program, thousands of youths have already completed training and secured jobs abroad, including in Gulf countries.
The governor emphasized that young citizens should contribute to national progress rather than become a burden on their families.
He further stressed the importance of including the voices of youth in policymaking to ensure their active participation in the country’s development.
Balochistan News Updates
Balochistan’s young population represents a vital resource for the province’s economic growth and social stability.
With limited local job opportunities and a growing youth demographic, skill development programs have become essential.
Institutions such as the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA), in collaboration with federal initiatives and international partners, offer vocational training in trades like construction, electrical work, healthcare assistance, and information technology.
These programs are designed to meet both domestic industry needs and the employment standards of overseas markets.
Many trained youths from Balochistan are successfully securing jobs in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, where skilled labor is in high demand.
Remittances sent back home contribute significantly to household incomes and the provincial economy.
Experts highlight that sustained investment in quality education, language training, and internationally recognized certifications can further increase the employability of Balochistan’s youth abroad while helping reduce unemployment within the province.
