Babar Yousafzai dismisses missing persons claims as political stunt of BYC

A major counter-terrorism operation was announced in the Pishin district. The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully neutralized five operatives of the militant group 'Fitna-ul-Kharij'. The individuals were identified as being involved in several major attacks, including an assault on a Frontier Corps (FC) truck on the Chaman Road, the murder of a Levies officer in Pishin, and various other attacks on police personnel.

QUETTA : The Balochistan government has made a strong statement claiming that the widely reported issue of missing persons in the province does not exist.

Former spokesperson  to CM Babar Yousafzai stated that there is “no missing persons issue in Balochistan.” Instead, he characterized the matter as a narrative constructed for political purposes.

Yousafzai specifically accused the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), a prominent nationalist group, of fabricating and exaggerating the issue. He claimed the organization is “just doing politics” to fuel dissent and garner support, rather than addressing any genuine, widespread problem.

This statement represents a firm denial of long-standing claims by human rights organizations and families and positions the government’s view in direct opposition to activist groups.
