TURBAT: Students from the University of Turbat gained hands-on experience in agriculture during a recent educational tour.
Students and teachers from the university’s Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, led by Department Head Dr. Jahangir Khan, visited the local Federal Seed Certification and Registration Department (FSC & RD).
The purpose of the trip was to connect the students’ classroom learning to real-world practices. Experts at the department gave the group a detailed briefing on why certified, high-quality seeds are crucial for sustainable farming.
Officials explained the department’s work, and specialists gave talks on important topics like plant breeding, pest control, and seed inspection. The students also participated in practical demonstrations on various aspects of agricultural research.
Dr. Jahangir Khan thanked the department for its hospitality and for sharing valuable knowledge. He stated that the University of Turbat is committed to providing modern facilities and practical training opportunities to its students, playing a key role in developing future experts for national and regional development.
