LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday announced the schedule for the upcoming home series against South Africa, confirming that Faisalabad will host One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the first time in 17 years.

The series will be played in October and November, with Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Faisalabad selected as the venues. According to the PCB, the two-Test series will count towards the ICC World Test Championship.

The opening Test will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, from October 12 to 16, while Rawalpindi will host the second Test from October 20 to 24.

Rawalpindi will also stage the first T20 International on October 28. The following two matches of the three-game T20I series are scheduled for October 31 and November 1 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium will mark its return to international cricket by hosting all three ODIs against South Africa on November 4, 6, and 8. The city last staged an ODI in 2008.
