ISLAMABAD: Senior defense analyst Abdullah Khan highlighted Pakistan’s major diplomatic achievement at the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit and levied serious allegations against India.
Khan stated that the SCO’s joint declaration, which condemned the recent terrorist attacks on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan and in Khuzdar, represents a significant foreign policy success for Pakistan. He framed this as a clear diplomatic message to India regarding regional terrorism.
The commentary included sharp criticism of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s conduct at the summit, describing his interactions with world leaders as “forcibly hugging” them. Khan suggested this behavior was an attempt to overcome recent perceived humiliations on the global stage.
The analyst also made direct accusations against India, claiming it is using Afghan territory to spread unrest and chaos within Pakistan. He asserted that Pakistan possesses “clear evidence” to support these claims.
Shifting to domestic security, Khan praised Pakistan’s security forces for their “extraordinary” role in countering insurgency in Balochistan. He claimed that in July and August alone, the forces achieved unprecedented success, neutralizing more elements of the “Hindu sedition” than in the previous ten years, marking a major blow to anti-state actors in the province.
