JACOBABAD: Authorities halted the Jaffar Express at Jacobabad Railway Station on Saturday after security clearance was denied, railway officials said.
Officials confirmed they stopped the Peshawar-to-Quetta service due to security concerns and did not allow the train to continue its journey.
They added that passengers were being shifted to Balochistan through public transport as an alternative arrangement.
The Jaffar Express had departed from Peshawar earlier and was en route to Quetta when officials intervened at Jacobabad.
