QUETTA: The Advisor to the Chief Minister on Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, has announced that Balochistan will launch its first-ever Women Endowment Fund this week. In this sense, the fund will provide interest-free loans to women, particularly from remote and underprivileged areas, enabling them to establish small-scale household and community-based businesses.
In this regard, Dr Rubaba Khan shared these details during a meeting with Secretary Women Development Department, Ms. Saira Atta, and representatives from the Institute for Institutional Development.
Furthermore, the importance of the initiative, Dr. Rubaba Khan said the provincial government is committed to promoting women’s empowerment and ensuring their active participation in the socio-economic mainstream.
She described the Women Endowment Fund as a milestone that would create long-term benefits, not only for women but for Balochistan’s broader economy.
She further focused on that economic independence for women is a crucial step toward building resilient communities. Dr. Rubaba Khan reasserted the government’s vision of building an enabling environment where women can participate fully and contribute to society.
