QUETTA: A significant step toward clean energy and agriculture uplift in the province, Balochistan’s landmark Solar Project is entering in its final phase.
According to official sources, so far, 25,675 farmers have been paid, a milestone that reflects the government’s firm commitment to both sustainability and rural support.
The Solar project aimed to shift tube wells from conventional energy sources to solar power, has not only reduced farmers’ operational costs but also addressed long-standing issues in the sector with greater transparency and accountability.
Official further said that only 1,267 cases remain before full completion. Once finalized, the initiative is expected to transform the agricultural landscape, improve water and energy efficiency, and boost public trust in government-led development programs.
