Islamabad: Pakistan and China’s foreign ministers have announced their commitment to enhancing cooperation at all levels to ensure peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, while continuing to support each other at international forums.
Speaking at a joint press conference following the sixth round of the Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, alongside Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, reaffirmed their resolve to work together for regional peace and development.
Both leaders stressed that Pakistan and China will strengthen their collaboration across various fields and maintain strong mutual support globally.
Ishaq Dar emphasized that relations between Pakistan and China are rooted in brotherhood and mutual trust.
He warmly welcomed the Chinese foreign minister to Islamabad, describing the meeting as meaningful and significant.
Dar noted that discussions covered the upcoming visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister to China, the advancement of CPEC Phase II, people-to-people exchanges, and broader bilateral cooperation.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi highlighted that both sides held in-depth discussions on multiple areas, including CPEC Phase II, trade and economic ties, multilateral cooperation, and strengthening public connections.
He reiterated that China regards Pakistan as a reliable partner, adding that the strategic partnership between the two countries is becoming stronger and reaching new heights.
Wang Yi expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s warm hospitality and affirmed China’s readiness to continue building this enduring relationship.
He further stated that maintaining regional peace and stability is a shared objective and expressed anticipation for the upcoming visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister to Beijing.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both sides reviewed all dimensions of bilateral relations and exchanged views on major regional and global issues.
