Quetta: Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind has announced that the scope of investigations has been broadened following a recent key arrest in Quetta.
In a statement issued from the provincial capital, Rind said that authorities had obtained a lead regarding certain target killers, after which raids were conducted at multiple locations and several suspects were taken into custody.
He clarified that during one of these raids, lawyer Zameer Advocate was also detained along with suspects but was later released after initial questioning.
He stressed that operations for restoring peace in Balochistan are ongoing and authorities have made it clear that such efforts will continue.
The spokesperson added that security forces are operating in “grey areas” where distinguishing between friend and foe is a complex task, emphasizing that lasting peace requires collective efforts.

He further stated that public cooperation is essential in this regard and assured that no innocent person will face injustice, as questioning is part of a lawful investigative process.
