Five-day curfew imposed in 24 areas of Bajaur’s Mamond Tehsil amid targeted operation

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department has imposed a five-day curfew in 24 areas of tehsil Mamond of district Bajaur.

According to details, in view of the targeted operation against terrorists in Bajaur, with the approval of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department, the district administration of Bajaur district has issued an announcement. According to which, it will be prohibited to come on the road and leave the houses during the curfew. The curfew will be in effect from 5 pm on August 16 to 5 pm on August 21.

The district administration has appealed to the people to end all their activities during the mentioned hours and remain confined to their homes, otherwise they will be responsible for any unpleasant incident.

According to the notification, the areas where Section 144 has been imposed include Malangi, Saprai, Davogai, Mena Suleman Khel, Khorchai, Chamyar Jod, Zagai, Gut, Agra, Ghandai, Zari, Nakhtar, Mulla Kale, Bakro, Guwati, Chamyalon, Larkalan, Barkalan, Ghanem Shah, Chautra, Dumdola, Sultan Beg, Inam Khoro and Naga.
