QUETTA: Quetta Civil Hospital has reported that more than 300 wheelchairs have gone missing over the past two years, with patients and their attendants reportedly taking them home and not returning them.
While talking to Geo News, Dr. Abdul Hadi, Medical Superintendent (MS) of Quetta Civil Hospital revealed that despite having identification cards, service cards, Afghan citizen cards, and other documents of these individuals on record, many have not returned to bring back the wheelchairs.
Dr Hadi that the hospital has suffered a loss exceeding PKR 5 million due to this issue. Besides financial loss, the shortage of wheelchairs has caused difficulties for other patients who need them.

He further said that the hospital administration has now provided additional wheelchairs to meet the demand.
